NOTE: There aren't necessarily any spoilers for the adventure itself but some on the FRCS, mainly about drow in Cormanthor.
I got this module for christmas and am trying to get it running. Since I couldn't incorporate it in my current FR campaign, I've decided to start a new campaign just to run the adventure.
Just to make the game more interesting, the players and I have decided to run it for a drow party. I am a lazy DM, and like to avoid modifying too many things. In order to keep things as simple as possible, would it be a good idea to have the PCs be part of House Jaerle? They'll be close the Dordrien Crypts and none of them are really Lolth worshippers so none of the plots sensitive parts will be given away.
I was thinking of having them investigate the recent drow raids. The heads of the house could be worried about drow competition. CoSQ does mention Spiderkissers and other drow sometimes venture to the surface and that House Jaerle was a constant annoyance for the followers of the Spider Queen.
Is this a good idea?
