I find that analysis of the class particularly amusing since my previous GM absolutely refused to permit any version of the Deep Woods Sniper in the campaign (which nobody else seems to think is broken), but was going to permit a slightly nerfed Windrider (no spells, D8 hp). I'm not totally convinced the class is broken, since a lot of that stuff is going to require a GM who will let you get away with anything and if that's the case then, likely everything else is going to be broken anyway. Also there is the more basic problem that adventures spend a lot of their time in places where, mounts are just simply not going to be able to go (particularly elephants) and the requirements for the class are pretty tough to meet.</blockquote>
