[QUOTE="Dr. Strangemonkey, post: 2046292, member: 6533"] The level is 7. The party composition thus far is divination oriented psionicist, ranger/Barbarian, thief, and priest. Logic would dictate that I play a druid or bard, but the bard I just can't get into, like the class overall but have had my fill of singing in combat, and the druid I did fairly recently. What I need to cover is the social and skill situation. I know the thief and he's not the sort of guy you want putting together deals. The thief is also why a Paladin is right out. It'd be good if I covered a secondary fighter position, and it'd be nice to do some actual spells. Haven't done monk well ever, so that is tempting, if I could get it to cover social situations. Thought about the marshall, but for a more military version of the Bard he seemed underpowered. No spells, fewer skills, and a buff bonus that's arguable no better though far more sophisticated, in return for a slightly higher HD, some armor proficiencies, and the exact same attack value? I loved the concept, but the execution was too iffy. The Runethane or Witch from AU is tempting, and I haven't ruled out the Oathsworn, Mageblade, or Champion. The Akashic is also mighty tempting, particularly since the psionicist will be covering so much of the divining that it leaves me free to be all sneaky. All the AU classes are tempting cause they might let me bring in the rituals from the AU magic supplement. But for all of those I'd have to figure out how to cover sneaky socialization. Which sounds like an issue with the spellthief who might otherwise fit what I'm looking for very nicely. I'll see if I can get a hold of UA and Complete Adventurer, anything else I should look at?
