Is there any reason that, when picking powers granted by a Class Template, I couldn't pick Paragon Path abilities, if appropriate? If so, any advice on adding PP features to the templates, or would they be unbalancing?
IOW, let's say I want a 15th level Hobgoblin pit fighter.
Step 1: 1st level Hobgoblin NPC.
Step 2: Advance to 15th level as per the DMG.
Step 3: Add Fighter template.
Step 3a: Pick Appropriate Exploits: I pick "Deadly Payback" from the Pit Fighter as the Utility Exploit granted by the Template. So far, the NPC has no extra powers/abilities compared to one without a PP.
Step 4?: I pick none/some/all? of the Paragon Path features.
I am thinking that, in keeping with the simplicity of the templates, that if you decide to add a PP to a classed NPC, you should maybe pick 1 iconic feature from the Paragon Path. Thoughts?
