A priest/liche would be working for his patron to further the causes of their beliefs.... be it.... recruiting as many follwers (with a liche that can last for hundreds of years) Think of all the mortal power from souls the liche priest can sacrifice over the time of hundreds of years...instead of a god having a high priest that may live a few years and then have to find another.. and another... he can have a devoted servant that can remain in the world for up to 1000's of years.... all the more reason to want a liche priest.... and then again..... after many hundreds of years of faithful service the liche may even be given some divine spark to become a demi god in the service of his master....</blockquote>
