Cleric/Paladin Turn Undead

All right, I'm not looking for opinions or explanations, all I want is a quote, with the source (and possibly page number or the like, if applicable) stating outright just how many Turn Undead uses a multiclassed Cleric/Paladin has. It would be greatly appreciated.

Page 59, PHB 3.5, column 2 under MULTICLASS CHARACTERS, Class Features, second paragraph that begins:

"In the special case of turning undead, both clerics and experienced paladins..."

Multiclassing (pal/clr) really only affects turning level. You can still only turn undead 3 + your Charisma modifier times per day.

Appreciated, and I know this, but I was actually looking to have the number of uses specifically spelled out somewhere as a few folk I'm currently arguing over this about absolutely refuse to get it through their heads just how it works no matter how well I may try to explain it.

I find far too many people will interpret things in the cheesiest way possible, and this is one such case. Bah. Gripe, gripe, gripe.

Thanks, though.

Circumstantial evidence follows.
also from p.59
the end of the second paragraph: "Thus, a 5th-level paladin/4th-level cleric turns undead as a 6th-level cleric." 6th-level clerics only get 3 + Cha mod + (Extra Turning), not 6 + Cha mod. I guess some people would want a sorcerer/wizard to have 2 familiars.

from p.159
"Times per Day You may attempt to turn undead a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier. You can increase this number by taking the Extra Turning feat (page 94)."

But nothing concrete that I could find in the PHB. Sorry.

That's how I read it too Steve. And whaddaya mean a sorcerer/wizard doesnt get two familiars? ;)

I'm actually more concerned about Paladin/Sorcerer/Eldritch Knights with Mount and Familiar. Let's hope I'll get around the extra druid levels and animal companions ;)

It's appreciated all the same, though the comment on multiclassed Sorcerer/Wizards might actually help if the debate continues.

I, as previously mentioned, mainly just get irritated by folk who interpret rules in the most advantageous way possible, when that often enough is not the case.

Ahh well. Thanks, though.
