Clerics and Rituals

So... 4e clerics begin with two rituals. While wizards receive new rituals every couple of levels, I didn't notice any mention of clerics receiving new rituals when leveling.

Did I miss something? Or is it just what it looks like - clerics have to beg, borrow, and steal to get their rituals?

It would appear, pending some errata, that you're correct: clerics will have to buy all their rituals. Since the wizard is supposed to be the spellbook guy (at least thematically) I'm not too bothered.

Also, clerics start with Gentle Repose plus one other 1st level ritual. But GR is the only 1st level ritual that keys off of Heal or Religion. Can you perform a ritual if you are untrained in the key skill? Low-INT clerics often don't take Arcana.

you don't have to be trained in a particular ritual skill to use it (at least that is not in the rules) but some, especially heal, require checks which make training very desirable.

You can find rituals as treasure.

When performing them, others can assist you using aid another to boost your skill check to successfully complete the ritual (they can also expend healing surged or other requirements of the ritual).

Make whole, Magic mouth and Silence don't require a check, the "Arcana" designation just describes the type of reagents to use. Comprehend Languages has a check, but it works fine even if you botch it. Tenser's floting disk is much more usefel with high arcana, but can still be used without it, same with Animal Messenger and Nature.

In fact the only first level ritual that "needs" a high appropriate skill is secret page.
