So I really like the idea of the Clockwork Mage (https://www.reddit.com/r/UnearthedArcana/comments/4j1lmj/clockwork_mage_cr9/?st=IZYJOZB6&sh=278d80a2), but I'm wondering if the concept can be taken further.
For example, the current version of the Clockwork Mage is CR9, which is roughly equivalent to a 13th-level spellcaster. What I'm wondering is: how many spells would it have for each school of magic, if the Clockwork Mage had a CR equivalent to a 20th-level spellcaster?
