Further, a glance in the mirror revealed that my right eye was about half-way bloodshot.Thinking it was just a really bad headache that would eventually go away, I did nothing.The next day (last Saturday) I did some research on the headache I'd had for the majority of the previous 24 hours. It turns out that what I was suffering from was most likely classified as a "cluster headache". Again, the literature seemed to suggest that the thing would go away on its own accord, so I did nothing.Being near-sighted, I've worn contact lenses for the last 20 or so years of my life. The eye wasn't bad enough to not wear the lens until about Wednesday of last week. That's when I noticed blurry vision, despite the wearing of the lens. Also, a co-worker informed me that he used to suffer from cluster headaches & that the pain could only be relieved with the help of a physician. He also warned that the eye might become infected. Needless to say, I haven't worn the lens since Wednesday, saw two doctors on Friday, and (after spending copious amounts of cash & time on various medications) am now completely headache free!Unfortunately, though my head no longer aches, it's as if all the pain previously housed *behind* my eye is now actually *in* my eye. If not for the Vikatin(sp?) which a brother of mine just happened to have extras of lying around, my eye would be burning, itching, & throbbing while I'd be pacing & screaming whilest unable to compose this post. This eye pain was not apparent until late last night (around 11 or so PST). The eye which was about half-way bloodshot a week ago is now almost thoroughly bloodshot and hurts to open. Vision is 30% at best (no contact lens, obviously). If there's anyone on these boards who's been through what I'm going through, please let me know what I'm supposed to do next. Will the eye eventually clear itself? If so, how long must I wait? Should I see an opthamologist? Is there a technical term which is currently applicable to my eye? (Remember, the "cluster headache" is now gone, but my eye is now killing me!)Thanks in advance!!!</blockquote>
