Tuning in to a deep sea monster
LONDON, England -- Scientists have revealed a mysterious recording that they say could be the sound of a giant beast lurking in the depths of the ocean.
It's a pretty cool story, gave my imagination a goose. You can download the sound, though, and it's something you'd hear in a bathtub. I'm sure it's a much more impressive sound at those depths, but...meh.

Well Doc, what did you expect? Elvis? Moby Grape? The Beatles singing "Yellow Submarine"...? :D

Umbran, when I hear a sea monster, I want to hear a roar a'la the kraken vs. godzilla, dammit! I don't need to hear some bathtub "oopsie".

Stupid monsters...

Yeah, well, you take a deep breath, stick your head underwater, roar at the top of your lungs, and watch what comes out. Bubbles is bubbles, Doc. The source is irrelevant :)

what sucks about them sort of articles IS the fact that it gives your imagination a run, but that is it. There is never enough information to make any of it fact. I had watched a documentary on the hunt for the Giant Squid. I watched it with all sorts of interest to find at the very end that they never actually found a live one to confirm, or at least start to, a lot of theories on how these things live. While I love articles like this, I find myself avoiding them more because I wish there were more fact in them to satisify some of my curiosity.

It is Gaia!!! Mother Earth calls to us! She is in pain!
