[QUOTE="Marius Delphus, post: 2176951, member: 447"] Thanks for all the great stuff so far. Looks like my original impulse re: separation of duties (which I'm going to be catty and not divulge; so there :)) needs some adjusting. I'm hoping for stupidly fun! Most of the players already went through Kung-Fu Superheroes two years ago, [brag] which got me a standing ovation [/brag]. To address some considerations which I didn't take into account ([barbie] starting threads is hard! [/barbie]): My Co-DM and I are friends of long standing, our DM styles are very close, and we respect each other's work. Unfortunately we are both micromanagers! However, that's actually *why* I feel that if we can clearly delineate and separate our responsibilities, things will go quite smoothly. I will be sure to mention the improv theatre thing, as we're both big fans of "Whose Line" (US version) and by July we will have played a lot of "Once Upon a Time" with some other willing victims. I mean friends. There will be no campaign repercussions as this is a one-shot (except the prelude will allude to something that happened in a previous one-shot which I consider to have taken place in the same "world" over 1000 years ago, and the finale may open up a sequel or two). The players live in another state, as it happens, and all of us get together once a year at most (skipped last year). There have been wives (and little'uns! but they are not playing) and new friends added to the mix over the years, and so I need to plan for a group as large as 12, but possibly as small as 6 (in which case my Co-DM would go ahead and play a character instead, keeping quiet about what he knows). I think my personal break-point is at about 8 (the number we had in Kung-Fu Superheroes). All the organizational tools I was to use to make my life simpler I will probably slide over so my Co-DM can route traffic while I do "big picture" stuff. Thankfully, he lives just across town from me, so we can collude extensively before go-time in July. He's big on maps and stuff, so probably a natural for battlemat duty. We'll be talking a bit tonight about these things, and I'll see what he's up for. Thanks again, and keep 'em coming! [/QUOTE]
