The Void Has a Mind Unto Its Own A swift breeze began to be sucked in to the middle of the room. Those on the opposite side of the sinuous ooze from the occulted exit hissed and cursed as they begin to be pulled forward by the accelerating suction, but quickly grabbed at what they could. Their closest member, the wee forged, found a grip in the tile and acted as a stop for the others. The world felt like it was becoming a rounded bowl, or a suck hole, and It was vividly hungry. The others, namely, Flamewind, her bleeding familiar, and Dala, struggled absent-mindedly against the pull, almost ignorant or maybe even jaded against its pull. The dead air behind blows strongly against you as the supernatural void searches for matter of any sort. At the last second before you would all have to grab hold of a brace, Velious looses an arrow of the most curious sort. Flamewind, having dropped to her knees with no breath residing within her, queries groggily about an Inverse Quantity Beholden to the Light and falls unconscious. From her previously open hands drops a crystal, a Fractalyne Essence, delicate and ponderous simultaneously. It has a Weird Gravity about it, the Void. More of a particular Appetite. It likes the flowing air more than the polished stone. It especially likes the Flavour of Magyck. The arrow flew more than true, truer than anything Velious has ever loosed. It hungered for the Magyck, ignorant of its Nature. The light bled and painted the space above the hungering mass, having altered its normal radiance. {OOC Anyone observing the light spread like butter on an invisible toast needs to make a Sanity check. Velious, you need to make two.} A black tongue licked out at the petite hand and clasp, the saliva left felt like a tingling salve and a fiery breath at the same time. It tried to eat the Magyck, unconsciously seeking whatever It smelt. {OOC Aalin, we need a concentration and Sanity check.} Then the arrow struck ... {OOC I'll wait for some checks and split second free actions before I move on.}
