I was just wondering it seems like Enworld has become all 4E all the time with little if anything else making the news page, am I just being silly or do others see this as well.

Might that have something to do with the fact that a large percentage of current RPG-industry news is currently 4E-focused?

There's not a lot of folks publishing new works following the 4E announcement.

I do understand that, I do; but I am talking about community news.

You used to get notices of fan websites updating and other stuff all the time, from diamondthrone.com to Delver's Guild to Iron League

It was something that was pointed out to me the other day, I was just curious if I was crazy.

Then why ignore what little is happening with the fan sites, especially those that are unlikely to make the change to 4e.

I mean I don't expect true 20, iron heroes, arcana evolve, castle and crusades, or OSRIC to go the way of 4th edition.

Maybe not C&C or Osric or True20, but Iron Heroes and AE seem pretty much dead to me. C&C/Osric fans probably don't even like ENWorld much...

I think you're right (or the person who mentioned it to you, whoever): there has been a noticeable shift in that direction.

But it makes sense. This is essentially a D&D site, and secondarily a site of things that directly relate to D&D. D&D is currently going through its latest (re-)birthing pains, or the fans are. Or something. So yeah, I don't see why the site wouldn't change gears and head that way, all things considered.

Not that I'm particularly enamoured, but even so. . .

People have to submit community news for there to be news to report. I don't think the newshounds go scouring every fan site looking for updates.
