Jeezoos. These dear dinosaur folk. They'd be truly beloved icons if they had the humility to drop the "big shot" role, and join the human race. Kudos to the old timers (like Jeff Dee and Tim Kask) who've taken courageous action towards human unison. TSR3 (+TSR2) could've been pretty neat. Ernie could still make a comeback if he'd get sober (AA), and take the steps necessary to make an honest and thorough amends for all the backward stuff he's voiced...and the harm he's done to the reputation of this new endeavor. There are of course, strands of goodwill mixed in with the bombastic persona. Somebody...some friend of Ernie...get him to slow down and silence himself. And calm down. Withdraw from media for a span. Social media is a hair-trigger scene. It's so easy to fall into reaction, and then endless threads of defensiveness. Chill out. Put TSR3 on total hold for 90 days or 1 year. (I suggested as much at the start of the Aquaria debacle.) It's not too late. If Ernie stopped drinking (and whatever else is pressing on him), found a Higher Power (even if it be the Archmage Tenser) or a Higher Purpose (even if it be TSR4), and inventoried his life experience. And made direct face-to-face amends to those he's treated not quite right, in his entire life. Including a genuine apology to all the folks who were, rightly, off-put by his one-sided views. And humbly shared about his experience of transformation. He could start over. TSR4 in 2022. Put humpty dumpty back together again. Address many or all of the concerns voiced during this flubbed launch. Re-gather an even bigger team of ye ol' TSR creatives. But this time also complemented with ultra-progressive, leading edge, woke advisors, consultants, and team-members as well. Humbly admit every wonky comment ever publicly voiced, and frankly amend it. Relaunch Giantlands and get the Kickstarters done, honorably and quick, somehow. Work out an even better, more just deal with TSR2. Do it right. It's not too late. But the bigger hole Ernie digs each day, the later it gets. I'm saying a prayer or mantra (or spell) of goodwill for him and his potential.
