Maybe the first viewer is new to the scene or less engaged in the day or day newsfeed and is simply late to the party. But it means the first viewer can be making well intentioned pleas to allow for second chances while other people very legitimately reply, "We gave them their second chance. And their third, and their fourth. This jerk's been at this for years, refuses to listen or change, and enough is enough."So don't mistake offering second chances to be an infinite blank check. At a certain point, the obligation is on the offender to prove they're making good faith efforts to improve and should be allowed back into society's good graces, not on society to extend blind forgiveness to someone who just keeps doubling down and won't admit they have a problem.</blockquote>
