Hey, thanks for the checking my stuff out! I'll see about making those corrections. I donno if I'm going to do another comparison list or not. I was thinking about checking out the monsters or the skills, but right now I'll just work on the spells.

Keep the criticisms and praises coming! :)

I think they removed SR from every spell from the _Conjuration_ school. It so happens that every (?) acid spell in the PHB also happens to be Conjuration.

Even more interesting then... I tried to check some other energy based spells yesterday, and they usually (although not ALL) grant SR to resist the spell, but also they are almost all Evocations.

I gave it a quick browse now again, and yes it looks like Conjuration usually doesn't grant SR except the Healing and Teleportation spell which do (but there are exception here too). :)

Merely because the energy created by Evocation is magical in nature and it is magic itself damaging the SRed creature while the magic of Conjurations is focused on the creation of the object or acid. Thus while the spell create an arrow of acid for example, the magic is no longer present once the casting is complete.

Funny, I'd be tempted to make an acid arrow effective against an Anti-magic Field as long as it was cast outside of it.

Rather amusing train of thought.

I have been thinking about the same kind of explanation. I would not allow the Acid Arrow to work in the antimagic field just because of it, but that's ok (you could still say that the magic "keeps the arrow together" while it flies). Anyway, I think that since the Acid Arrow is dispellable while giving continuous damage, then the magic is definitely lingering. We're kind of getting too much into it at this point anyway ;)

I like the list. One thing I spotted that you missed - Shapechange gives the Supernatural abilities of the creature changed into in 3.5; it didn't in 3.0.

I've also worked on a similar sort of thing for my group, but covering the rest of the PHB as well as the spell lists. Hopefully, it may prove useful for others, too. Click on the "What's Changed" link below to check it out.
