Hi guys, The latest city box set for the Conan RPG is currently shipping to distributors and will be appearing in your local stores next week. Based on the same format as the recent Shadizar box set, we have worked hard to make Messantia even better! There are lots of goodies in this box, even before you get to the books. There are three double-sided full colour maps depicting various locations in Messantia and a MASSIVE poster map of the city itself, complete with keyed locations. We have also included 'character cards' with well known personalities of Messantia and generic NPC types. The front of the card has a picture of the character which can be shown to the players, while the reverse has all their stats. These are supplemented by a large number of counters which are used on the various maps included with the box set, allowing players to see exactly what is going on during combat. Book One is the largest and is aimed at the Games Master, giving a complete breakdown of Messantia - its history, locations, citizens, religion and politics. Every location on the main city map is covered here and there is a chapter devoted to the area surrounding the city. Book Two is entitled Secrets of the Streets and concentrates on the rules side of this supplement. There are new prestige classes, such as the Merchant Prince and Agent of the Crown, new uses for skills and feats that are perculiar to Messantia and expanded rules for hirlings and slaves - important information for those hoping to make a life in the city. There are also some unique magicks and beasts that can be encountered within Messantia. The third book is the Vengeance of the Golden Skull and is designed to be a scenario that will take players across the length and breadth of the city in an effort to stop an ancient evil from exacting revenge. Messantia is a large box set priced at $39.95 and will be available in your local stores next week.
