[Confrontation] Cry Havoc Supplement?

Hi,

In the latest issue of Dragon (#323), there is an add for Cry Havoc, a supplement/magazine published by Rackham covering their excellent Confrontation miniatures. Since this costs £15 here in the UK, I thought I'd ask if anyone here has got it, what's in it and whether it's worth getting.

Cheers

I have it.

It is basically a magazine similar to White Dwarf in scope but with a couple of extras.

It comes with the main magazine part (88 pages), Gaming Aids booklet (30 Pages) and 11 cards.

The magazine has the following sections:

News (preview of new products)
Preview of Rag'narok
Painting guide (Griffin Inquisitor)
Tips on creating terrain for Hybrid
Tips on putting together some Orc models
Ragnarok Battle report (Orcs vs. Scorpions)
Some Fluff (15 pages worth)
Picture Gallery

The Gaming aids book has several Hybrid and Nemesis missions, a Confrontation scenario and several pages of rules supplements (Fortification, flying, special places(Nexus), etc.)

Most of the cards depict the Nexus rules but there are 3 stat cards for Hybrid and some items for confrontation.

The production is awesome. The layout, art, photography and mini paintjobs are top notch. I can't say too much about the rules material because I sadly have not actually played much of any Rackham games.

I don't regret my purchase but it is awefully expensive for what is essentially a magazine.

Let me know if you have any more specific questions.

Maniac, how much was the magazine?

I paid $23(US) for it.
And according RichGreen about 15 pounds in the UK.

One thing I wanted to add is that while the content is mostly like a magazine, the production is not. The cover is cardstock and has a beautiful glossy piece of art. The pages are all high quality paper and every page is dripping with art and photos.
