I know that every year, these awards at least somewhat affect my "shopping list" of RPGs, and to a lesser extent games in general, that I want to pick up. My interests being what they are, the "best rules" category is one I especially make sure to have a look at. I must say I had a quick look at Dungeon World a few months ago and it left me cold, but with its gold award (and obvious success and influence) I now feel like I owe it another look. And I've always liked the Iron Kingdoms setting, so I'm certainly eager to see what's been done with it in this new RPG version.
Feel free to share any other thoughts about the awards and your experiences with the winning products here. In particular, does anything here make you go "hmm, I should pick that up?" where you weren't previously planning to?
