Considering a campaign idea off something from the Koran

Disclaimer: This is not a thread to discuss religious faiths or anything along those lines. I'm using the Koran as a source for mythology inspiration, in addition to Norse and other mythology for a campaign world. If anyone wants to discuss topics of religion or faith, I'd gladly have that conversation with anyone in another thread in the appropriate subforum.

With that said, this is the basis for the Campaign idea:

"Chop off the heads of the unbelievers." Chapter 5, verse 4.

Ignoring the religion part... your campaign is about going out and killing anyone who does not believe in your god? That is a very Chaotic Evil campaign imo, it can only work if the whole team is of the same religion and mindset.

Beyond that, a longer explanation to your campaign would be nice, then we could discuss it in detail if you want.

The player characters are insane cultists of lolth who have realized that the mushrooms of the underdark have never sworn allegiance. And therefore they must cut the heads off all mushrooms who will not convert.

The twist is that the head of their order just wants to make a good stew.

Your quote seems incorrect. The correct quote for that chapeter and verse would be

They ask you as to what is allowed to them. Say: The good things are allowed to you, and what you have taught the beasts and birds of prey, training them to hunt -- you teach them of what Allah has taught you -- so eat of that which they catch for you and mention the name of Allah over it; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah; surely Allah is swift in reckoning.

And that could be made into a decent wilderness/pet-using campaign -- druids, rangers, et al. though a bit boring from a mythic standpoint.

Ladies and gents,

If you have a problem with another thread, speaking with the moderators is an appropriate course of action. Snarky public lampooning is not. Thread closed
