You still have to be a fairly high level caster to toss most of that stuff down though, but still not a bad buy.On the other hand I think I found what I needed. The Techsmith PrC from Faiths and Pantheons (Faerun). A few small adjustments to it and it's PERFECT for Artificers who want to go the golem/construct route.For those not in familiar with it, you get a free construct companion that will fight for you. You can upgrade him and out fit him with weapons and the like. You also get better at crafting items. In addition to that you learn to really put the hurt on constructs in general.The only issue we saw with it was the Bombs thing. Eberron doesn't have smokepowder like Faerun so we just swapped that ability out for an ability to create more effective golem/constructs.
