A heavy suit of armor approaches you from the darkness. It raises its greatsword as the empty helm turns to face you.

Possessors are incorporeal constructs left to defend an area from intrusion. These clouds of dust drift in through a wall and fill a suit of armor so that they can strike intruders. Possessors speak the language of their creator and an additional language for every point of intelligence of 10.

COMBAT
Possessors charge straight into battle.
Ghost Touch (Ex): The possessor never risks a 50% miss chance against incorporeal creatures and may interact with them as if they are corporeal.
Thundering (Su): While the Possessor is using a suit of armor, it always confers this weapon quality onto it's weapons, whether using it's unarmed strike or wielding a weapon.
Feather Fall (Su): As the spell, in constant effect.
Partial Immunity to Piercing (Ex): Possessors take half as much damage as normal from piercing weapons.
Possess (Ex): As a full round action, a possessor can slip into a suit of armor and use it as a body to attack others. A possessor prefers full plate armor, but needs only a helm or mask, pair of gloves or gauntlets, and a pair of boots. While it has possessed armor, it forgoes its 50% miss chance, though it does retain its deflection. Abandoning a suit of armor to return to full incorporeality is a free action that does not provide an attack of opportunity.

POSSESSOR SOCIETY
Multiple possessors left in an area often spend their free time organizing themselves into small tribes. They often hold small tournaments to win over the best armor.

Nice critter! Here are my suggestions:

1) Make it of type Outsider (Evil, Incorporeal). Give it DR 10/good and silver. Being Incorporeal will prevent 50% of all hits anyway, and having full cover (see below) will prevent most damage when it's in an object.

2) Give it the ability to Posess Object (Su). A posessed object is of type Construct, and provides the Posessor with full cover. Posessed objects gain the [Evil] subtype while being posessed, but only the following effects are transmitted back to the Posessor: Holy Word, Dismissal/Banishment, Dispel Evil, Holy Smite, and maybe Smite Evil.

3) Posessed objects gain these properties: considered Magic and Evil for penetrating DR, gain the Ghost Touch special ability, and benefit from the Posessor's Deflection bonus to AC (part of the Incorporeal sub-type).

4) Object posessed is otherwise treated as an Animated Object (see MM-3.5e).

That'll bring your good ideas into line with core mechanics, so DMs have less to learn. :)

Hope this helps, -- N

I liek the suggestions and I definatly like the creature, you done a good job putting it together. If you don't take the DR advice why not change the partial immunity to piercing to Damage reduction?
