Did the mods change the rules so that it is kosher to post blatant advertising materials in the general forum? If they did, as a publisher I am totally cool with that . If they didn't, as a publisher I would hope the mods would move the thread to the appropriate section in order to insure everyone is playing fair.

Well, Bret didn't publish the book. He's the one most responsible for its completion, but he's not a publisher.
