converting a large group of pictures at once (windows + paint.net)

I have a CD full of pictures that I need to cut to appropriate sizes and get onto my mom's Cafe Press Store. Unfortunately they are all at a different resolution than the optimum dpi of CP. Rather than tediously altering each picture, is there a way to transfer the disc to a folder on my computer and simultaneously change them all to a different resolution? I have the standard Windows XP home install plus Paint.net (which I've used regularly) and GIMP (which I haven't).

Irfanview might be able to do that... it has batch capabilities, not sure if it can change resolution in a batch, though.

Of course, in HTML you can just display them in a different resolution with the appropriate attributes of <IMG>, but that's hardly a perfect solution. ;)

thanks, tried this one and it worked very well, though it hid the altered batch in a temp file, but that was easy enough to transfer.

ImageMagick is really powerful, but it's too complex to learn for a simple job. Irfanview's batch mode is super easy for simple stuff like resizing or changing formats.
