Converting D20 to OSRIC

Has anyone seen any publishers talking about converting existing D20 modules (for instance, written for 3E or another D20 game) to OSRIC format? I know Goodman Games released some limited print stuff but I don't think it was OSRIC.

Goodman has released a few (2 or 3, so far) of their d20 modules in C&C format. I have no problem converting to 1st ed-ish systems on the fly, so it's not such a big deal for me. C&C isn't quite the same as OSRIC, but I do believe there would be little difference in monster and NPC stat blocks.

Goodman will eventually be converting all of their DCC's to C&C, as long as sales continue to support such a move. No original C&C modules from Goodman are on the schedule right now.

Yes, using C&C modules for OSRIC is pretty easy once you figure out how to convert the AC and a couple of other simple things.

Of course my opinion is based on going from OSRIC to C&C, but the only difference is the direction of conversion.

I've got the C&C version of Mysterious Tower. I like the adventure a lot. It looks like it will be a breeze to run under classic D&D instead of C&C.

I wonder, though, if I wouldn't have been just as well off with the d20 version. It feels closer to a mass search & replace than a conversion. If this module will be representative of all of their conversions to C&C and/or Osric, I don't know that I see the point.

Except simply to help promote C&C and/or Osric.

????

All I can say to that is the C&C version is what I ran for my group and it is still one of their favorite adventures in their 8 to 10 levels of playing. I have the d20 version in pdf, but haven't read it yet. Guess maybe I should.

I haven't run this one, yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Actually, I expect to run it quite soon. I have the C&C version, rather than the d20 version. And yes, you could run it under B/X without any problems at all.

As far as C&C vs d20 for conversion, I think it doesn't matter very much for lower-level stuff. At low levels, converting d20 isn't much harder. For higher level stuff, converting d20 can be more of a chore.

Is there a relationship between WOTC and TLG? It seems they must have gotten the blessing of WOTC given Gary is so tied into C&C. If you consider how close C&C is to 1E, I could see 3E material being republished with C&C conversions (if a friendly relationship really exists).
