Any ideas for a cool name for a secretive mages guild in a World of Greyhawk based campaign?

Templars of Boccob.

Brotherhood of the Quill.

Hidden Order of the Unknown and Unknowable, the Secret Sect of Arcana and the Holders of Magical KNowledge.

that is ONE name, wizards like to show-off and add too much fluff! :)

The Boneheart :D

No, but seriously...

The Red Qabal.
The Ninth Circle.
The Church of the Blood Red Moon. :p

If they're secretive, they're probably going to have either a secretive or awful component to their title, and probably not mention magic for secrecy's sake (unless the guild is public, but known to have secrets, if that makes any sense). If they're magi, they're intelligent and liable to use big words. Something like the Shadow Assembly or the Midnight Syndicate (yes, it's taken, but it's a cool name, no?).

Check out the free version of my name generator at www.jhanson.com. It has a "Mercenary Companies" rule set that you can download as part of Rule Pack 2. Some of the names that come out of it would make good mage guild names. If you need names for any of the guild members, or their signature spells, there's rules for that too...
