Cooperative Item Creation?

I seem to recall reading somewhere about rules for cooperatively creating magic items, but I can't find them now. Is it possible to have another assist when creating a wonderous magic item?

I ask, because I'm wondering if a character with Craft Wonderous Item can create something that requires a spell he does not know if he is assisted by another who does know that spell?

Technically, no. You must do the work yourself. But the Netbook of Feats has feats that allow this.

No feat necessary, unless you want to have them combine their caster level or something.

My bad. I had a munchkin item creation thread stuck in my head. I should have caught on to this. I can't count on my hands how many times I've done this in-game. Doh!

Ok, so another can help create an item, but I still have some questions...

(1) Must the other assisting in creation of the magical item, also have the appropriate magical item creation feat?

(2) Can arcane and divine spell casters cooperate to create magical items?

For example, can a wizard with the Craft Wands feat be assisted by a cleric (without Craft Wands) to create a wand of cure light wounds?

No. The one with the appropriate item creation feat sets the caster level of the item. If both have the feat, they must decide who sets the caster level of the item. Only one needs the feat.

I believe so. I thought I read this somewhere in the DMG, but I might be mistaken.
