I kinda feel the opposite. Kord is what all those other fighting gods only wish they could be! The others are all psychotic, gender-confused, too-omni-uber, or single-minded. Kord is pure, battle-lovin', monster-huntin', beast-wrasslin', dragon-slayin', martial-arts-wieldin', sword-swingin', fun-lovin', Nordic awesomeness with none of the obsessions, psychoses, fetishes, or baggage that the other core gods of battle suffer from. I really like the descriptions Kord and his faith got in Deities & Demigods, Defenders of the Faith, and the Living Greyhawk Gazeteer. Kord isn't redundant. Kord makes nearly all other battle gods redundant. He's exactly what most warriors, athletes, and (to a lesser extent) adventurers would want to follow. Yet he's not as overly-glorified as "das Uber Alf" Corellion "I'm a pretty man-girl, I'm a pretty man-girl!" Larethion. That elf-snob's only use in the pantheon is that he's the only god of art and music in there, which sucks. Kord is so awesomely appropriate as the patron deity of various adventurers and ordinary folk, with none of the wierd baggage, relationships, or mental conditions of the other battle gods. For now, I'm voting Vecna off the god-isle. Thanks Mr. Uber-Lich, but we already have several other gods of death, magic, and secrets, each, and you never should've been a full god in the first place. Nerull does your job well enough and Wee Jas has your other aspects covered, without being overly redundant. It is unfortunate that Wee Jas has such a stupid name, though. Most of the core deities seem bland or pointless without any expansion material, but D&Dg, DotF, and LGG do a fair job of giving some of those a more detailed and neat flavor. I'll probably vote for other redundant or stupid deities after Vecna; Ehlonna's definitely rather redundant for instance, as long as both Obad-Hai and either Yondalla or Corellon are in the pantheon. Pelor could probably be thrown in a ditch too, since Obad-Hai, Yondalla, and Heirroneous cover everything he does, altogether. Though Hextor's brother has a rather stupidly-long and easily-misspelled name, just like Corellon's. At least it's a failing that several core deities possess, so it's nothing to hold against any one of them in particular. (...except Corellon)
