Cortex Con is a fan-made event coming Nov 3-5 online with tons of open game sessions and even a few "how-to" and other discussion-style events folks can join. Don't hesitate to sign up or help spread the word to get people who are new or experienced with Cortex to get involved! More info: Cortex Con 2023 | Warhorn Sign up for game sessions: Cortex Con 2023 | Warhorn Additional information from the fan creators behind this event: [I]Gamers everywhere are invited to join the world's first online convention devoted to the Cortex tabletop RPG system, including Cortex Prime as well as other flavors such as Cortex Plus, Cortex Classic, and the recent free intro version, Cortex Lite! This fully virtual, fan-driven event runs November 3rd, 4th, and 5th, 2023! To get details, or if you have any questions or concerns, head to the official Cortex Discord and find the #cortex-con channel! If Discord isn't the right option for you, you can also reach out via email using the "Email the Event Staff" link. Players Wanted! Our GMs seek players for these special online game sessions using any version of the Cortex system, whether that means a published RPG—such as Tales of Xadia, Marvel Heroic Roleplaying, Cortex Lite, Leverage, Smallville, Lifted, Firefly, Dragon Brigade, Reality Redacted, Supernatural, Battlestar Galactica, Keystone, Demon Hunters, Serenity, the various Cortex Spotlights and Confab games, and the settings in the Cortex Prime Game Handbook (Eidolon Alpha, Hammerheads, and Trace 2.0)—or their own personal builds or hacks! To sign up as a player, simply use this Warhorn to add your name to the player list for any game you want. If you are not waitlisted, you have a space. If you are waitlisted, check back in on the Discord channel just before the game starts—if there is a no-show, the GM may give you that spot. Player sign-ups continue through the beginning of each event! GMs have priority when signing up to play games run by other GMs. NOTE: In many cases, a 3-hour or 5-hour game is listed in what appears to be a 4-hour slot. The individual game listing is actually correct. A 3-hour game in such a slot just ends early, and when it is a 5-hour game, a time buffer is built in to make sure players still get a break before the next slot. New Players Welcome! New players are very welcome, since the best way to learn Cortex is by playing it! A Safe and Inclusive Event All participants (players, GMs, and organizers) are expected to share our goal of creating a fun, safe, and inclusive experience for everyone involved.
