OK. First. My players stay out. Anyone else who's intending to play in the City of the Spider Queen adventure, stay out. Consider this a definite spoiler warning. Right. Space over. My group has been playing in this campaign for many months now, and 3 months of game time. Those of you familiar with the module will realise that this is way past the 'deadline'. I gave 'em some extra time because I didn't want to have to deal with the fallout. Anyway, I've now decided to let it rock. Thousands of highly intelligent walking dead (revenants) are about to pour out of the Underdark and lay waste to the world above. Meanwhile, hundreds of powerful necromancers and evil clerics are piling into the Dales to take advantage of the Negative Energy powers which now cover about a 150 mile diameter sphere above the ground. Where I need help is: 1. What's going to happen in Maermydra - presumably there are going to be bodies of giants and the other invaders everywhere waiting for the second Great Revenance. Which of the invaders would have survived, and what would they be doing now? 2. How do you think the surface world's great heroes would react? I basically need to neuter Elminster & Co, probably killing some or all of them. (At present, many of them are doing battle with newly empowered surface evil in the Dales). 3. How are the other evil forces going to react? I guess they're all going to take advantage of this chaos, but I'm curious what anyone else thinks they'd do. Anything else anyone can come up with would be gratefully received. (If you've got a fully statted army of 6,000 revenants, that'd be cool, but I'm not holding my breath!)
