However, CGI does level the playing field considerably when it comes to doing mecha stuff. Gunheed was never animated to the best of my knowledge, it was based off of a manga series by Kia Asama who did the manga for Silent Mobius.Personally, much as I love giant robots and such, I find the whole Transformers universe to be cringe inducing. I was just too old when they came out and it just didn't measure up to more adult fare like Macross/Robotech. Evangelion I am also wondering how they are going to condense that down to a single movie. Though there was a lot of filler and most of the Angels are largely irrelevent to the over all plot. The smart thing to do, I suspect would be to sit down and look over the important plots and themes and then just re-write things from scratch.</blockquote>
