The Weave Anchor prevents them from destroying the beam by drinking from it. However, the beam caster might well be injured, along with many or most of the people the beam is touching. It is not available to the general spell-casting public. It produces a new being from a Mirror of Opposition for every thread that touches the Mirror.</p><p> As a result, an army of evil beings will be persuing their real opposites, seeking their destruction.</p><p> The answer, of course, is to either destroy the Mirror or destroy the spell (and the web caster.)</p><p> Most mages and the like do not take kindly to having their hanging spells and dormant monsters awakened haphazardly. Said magics and monsters tend to attack their creator, being now uncontrolled. So this spell tends to make the caster unpopular. (For that matter, most ordinary people do NOT like the idea of being wrapped in magical beams from someone else's spell, even if it isn't affecting them.
