Hey there,
I am in the final editing stages of my third novel set for publication. This will be my first fantasy novel that will be released. With some luck, more will follow.
It is a novel in Danish, through a recognized (traditional) publisher, but I have been allowed to put my personal stamp on the cover, and I'm therefore looking for someone talented who might find this to be an interesting endeavor.
At this stage, this is an uncommisioned artist job, but your name will of course be in the book as the cover-artist, and all due recognition will be given to you through me, my website, my publisher's websites/media and so forth.
Some monetary compensation might be possible too, depending on how much free reign the publisher gives me, but don't expect it. Do expect some copies of the novel, of course.
The Danish market for novels is quite small, and a typical release sees less than 1000 units in the first print-run. So this probably isn't your chance to break through to world-famous status, but it might be a good start ;-)
What I am looking for, is a traditional style of fantasy for the cover, and I have several ideas for it that I would like to share with anyone interested. Covers like on the Deathgate books or the old Forgotten Realms/Dragonlance books (Streams of Silver etc) I really like, but anything with some interesting characters on, and maybe some sort of fantastical setting with a bit of color.
