Message: <blockquote data-quote="Troll Lord" data-source="post: 265327" data-attributes="member: 1163">DUAL SYSTEMSHey all, Davis seems to have covered the meat of the Hermit's adventure in his previous posting, so I'll just let you know a little about form.The Hermit is a new approach to modules for TLG.  The module is d20, fully compatable with 3e and so forth.  But it is also usable in Gary's own game the Lejendary Adventure RPG.  The adventure reads much like any other adventure, however, we've used generic text for common words ... for instance, when you read The Hermit it you read "GM" instead of "DM" and "Characters" in place of PCs.  As for stats, rules and monsters all of the LA stats are in grey boxes.  When your playing the 3e game you have only to ignore the grey boxes.  Now you might be a little concerned about the amount of space required to do this, but truthfully, the space LA takes up is less than 5 pages or so.  That particular system is rules light so it didn't require too much.Come by the booth at Gencon and check it out.  I can't remember our booth number ....hmmm, i'll post it later.  Of course Gary will be signing at the booth and he'll be more than happy to sign new and old stuff.Okay enough tangents.  As for placement.  It is pretty generic, but with all adventures written "outside" of TLG we add on material that places the adventure in the world of Erde.  I've written up some original material for the Erde setting and dropped it into the Hermit.  The adventure takes place in the small Kingdom of Thumbria which lies south of the Eldwood and even beyond the Avar mountains.If you have any questions about formatting or LA or Erde I'd be happy to tackle them.Oh yeah, curiously enough, part of the adventure as conceived by Gary was difficult to work the 3e mechanics out.  Our play testers, editors and Gary and TLG wrangeld over how to do this for quite some time and came up with a good solution (thanks to Larry Herzer) . . . at least we hope it is.  I'm sure we'll get hammered some, some will like it and some won't even care.  <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":)" title="Smile    :)"  data-smilie="1"data-shortname=":)" />  Come by the booth and check it out.steve<img src="http://trolllord.com/53dfa400.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " data-size="" style="" /></blockquote>
