Create my NPC's!

Nap

First Post
In the interest of time (and the element of surprise), I'd like to have some help creating a few NPC's that will be appearing soon in my homebrew campaign. Please feel free to post stat-blocks, along with physical descriptions if you like. Please include spells memorized and in books for any wizards, sorcerers, and bards. Also feel free to add any minor personality quirks or features.

All I ask is that you keep the following parameters in mind:

1. All NPC's must be human (unless otherwise specified)
2. My homebrew campaign is relatively low-magic and gritty
3. Campaign has a somewhat feudal, Arthurian feel to it
4. No demons, warforged, vampiric, tiefling, half-dragon, or other "weird" humans.

Here's what I need:

1. A 6th level male wizard/2nd level sage that lives in a large city (NG)
2. A 9th level male captain of the guard that excels in swordsmanship
3. A 5th level female bard/3rd level rogue w/ striking beauty & black hair (CG)
4. A 4th level male rogue that specializes in disguises and concealment (NE)
5. A 9th level male sorcerer that specializes in summoning & has aristocratic background (NE)
6. A 5th level male halfling fighter/township guard (LG)

Thanks!

Appearance

Bertram is a slender but wiry man in his early middle age. He wears a finely-trimmed mustache and keeps his hair neatly coiffed at all times, not out of vanity but because he believes it behooves a captain of the guard to present a respectable face to the public.

Thanks, Kafkonia!

Bertram looks like a great Captain of the Guard, and not stereotypical at all. I like the emphasis on the rapier, and his high dexterity. I can see him making some rash judgments with his 8 wisdom, possibly causing some problems for my more methodical PC's.

The physical description is nice, too.

One question, what exactly are the initials beside each feat? I assume they represent when he took the feats, but what do they stand for? I'm not familiar with that.

Telios

Name: Telios
Race: human
Class: Sorcerer 9
HD: 9d4+18
Init: +5
Speed: 30
AC: 11 (15 w/mage armor, 19 with mage armor & shield)
Base Attack/Grapple: +4/+4
Attack: Sling +5 (1d4) or morning star +5 (1d8)
Special Attacks: Spells
Special Qualities: human traits
Saves: Fortitude +5, Reflex +4, Will +8
Abilities: Str 10, Dex 12, Con 14, Int 12, Wis 14, Cha 18
Skills: Bluff +15 [8], Concentration +14[ 12], Knowledge (arcana) +13 [12], Knowledge (Royalty & Nobility) +6 [10], Spellcraft +9 [8]
Feats: Augment Summoning, Improved Initiative, Skill Focus (Bluff), Spell Focus (Conjuration), Spell Focus (Enchantment)
Align: Neutral Evil
Spells/day: 6/7/7/7/5
Spells Known:
0-light, open/close, mending, prestidigitation, ray of frost, acid splash, daze, flare
1- Summon Monster I, Expedious Retreat, Mage Armor, Shield, Charm Person
2-Summon Monster II, Melf’s Acid Arrow, Bear’s Endurance, Invisibility
3-Summon Monster III, Gasous Form, Hold Person
5-Summon Monster IV, Ice Storm

Notes: A charming and social person Telios was born as the eldest child of a court magician. As a child he was able to manipulate his younger siblings, servants and even fooled his parents into thinking that his innate gifts were just from long hours of careful study. As far as tru work goes he would rather manipulate someone else into doing it for him rather then get his hands dirty.

In combat he relys heavilly on his Summons and Invisibility and won’t hesitate to flee if a battle doesn’t go his way.

Decription: A short man at a mere five and a half feet Telios would best to be described as plump. Although not the most handsome man he possess confidence, a silver tounge and many, many honeyed words.

Personality: His personality can be best described at cat-like; and the man has a fondness for cats. His prefered summons are cats or cat-like creatures and has taken a cat on as his familiar, though he has told no one of his greater relationship with his cat. (bonuses are not included in the above stats)

Oh, I put "B" for Bonus feat. The "BH" represents "Bonus Human" feat, "BF" is for the "Bonus Fighter" feats; the numbers represent what level of Fighter he got the bonus feat from.

I'm glad you liked him. Sorry I didn't have the chance to generate secondary characteristics for him.

Charysse is a ravishing raven-haired beauty. Her voice is of an Angel itself. Many men have sought to court the green-eyed adventurer but she has sought her passion of seeking ancient secrets and lore. Her melodious voice is sought by many taverns and festhalls. She is also in high demand for her diplomacy skills and her ability to put people at ease. Charysse is very well liked and many powerful people would become involved if something untowards were to befall her.

Name: Accalon
Race: human
Class: Rog 4
HD: 4d6+4 (21 hp)
Init: +3
Speed: 30
AC: 16 (+3 dex, +3 studded leather); flat-footed 13, touch 13
Base Attack/Grapple: +3/+3

Saves: Fortitude +2, Reflex +4, Will +1
Abilities: Str 12, Dex 16, Con 13, Int 10, Wis 10, Cha 14
Skills: Bluff +9 [7 ranks], Disguise +14 (+16 acting in character) [7], Gather Information +7 [3, +2 syn], Hide +12 [7], Knowledge (local) +4 [4], Listen +7 [7], Move Silently +12 [7], Perform (storyteller) +5 [3], Search +4 [4], Sleight of Hand +12 [7, +2 syn], Spot +7 [7]
Feats: Weapon Finesse, Skill Focus (disguise), Stealthy
Align: Neutral Evil
Other Possessions: 20 arrows, disguise kit, 4 daggers, 2 extra swords (not masterwork), spear, chain shirt (for less stealthy personae)

Notes: As far as most people know, Accalon is a veteran soldier, an irregular from the border guard who has retired after several years of good service to his lord. Now he haunts the taverns, living off of his pension and the occasional kindness of strangers who enjoy his stories of military adventure.

A thorough interrogation of the town's less savory inhabitants reveal a darker side to this apparently genial fellow. Whenever a gang of thugs needs an extra sword arm, or a corrupt nobleman requires some discrete surveillance of an enemy, they come to Accalon. After some subtle haggling, the veteran soldier arranges for one of his old army comrades to do whatever dirty work needs to be done.

What not even his criminal employers know is that almost all of Accalon's mysterious allies are actually himself. The red-bearded savage Gwall, the flinty aspect of Rion Blade-Tosser, and even Bercilak the Devilspawn are all alter-egoes of the immoral mercenary Accalon, who has never served with a military unit in his life. He has found the artificial division between contact and operator to be quite to his liking.

In his standard appearance, Accalon strives to be as unremarkable as possible, with a well-proportioned but bland face, medium length black hair showing the first grays of approaching middle age, and drab clothing. In his mercenary personae, he creates a variety of flamboyant appearances, from strikingly colored facial hair, to extensive scarring and tattoos, even to the exceptionally sharp teeth that would accompany a supposedly supernatural origin.

Great NPC's guys, thanks! I like how each of them have individual flavor, yet are generic enough to be inserted into not only my campaign, but just about anyone elses.

Telios - Wow, one tough BBEG! With all those summoning spells, and ice storm, he'll be tough to stop. I like his infatuation with cats - good roleplaying stuff.

Charysse - Excellent character, with reasonable ability scores. This is one of my most important NPC's, and I'm glad you included some diplomacy skills for her.

Accalon - Great background flavor! It's one thing to introduce a rogue with evil tendencies, but another to give him character like this. Good, reasonable abilites, and will be a thorn in the PC's side in the coming weeks.

:)
