Create Your Own Prestige Classes

Can Monte Cook's "Create Your Own Prestige Classes" article be found online? I've picked up Dragon Magazine since issue #275, largely because of the early information on creating monsters and prestige classes, and it has always frustrated me that I never got my hands on this article.

So, can I find it? Should I care? Is it useful? My campaign wants to know...

I don't have dragon 274 either. The problem was that because of Germany and France not receiving 3rd edition till mid october, they decided that all of Europe should not have dragon 274 because the character generator might spoil the surprise

Of course, the Netherlands received them the same time the US did... you'd be real silly if you would make a Dutch translation of the game... most gamers would spit it out like that (snaps his fingers). Of course, we are still part of Europe, hence didn't get dragon 274.

That's funny. I'm Austrian, and we got #274 all right...

As far as I know, there's been no official posting of the article, or any of the other really useful design articles (namely: How to create a feat, how to create a monster etc). Rumour has it they'll all be posted on wizards site sooner or later, but there's been no real notice of when that could happen.

These articles are very good and Wizards really does need to put them on the Web page for all to see.

Take a look at ThirdEdition.Com. They had at least v. 1.0 of a points-based Prestige Class creation article, and I know that v. 2.0 has been released with an extension that allows you to use a similar points-cased system for creating new core classes as well. Might be worth your while to check out.
