Black dragons are evil, and gold dragons good, but both achieve their goals through maximal strength. I'd look at half orc and half elf ancestory and notice how they always feel like outcasts. Now for a regular being, this is fine, they get sad and lonly, however a dragon (Possibly an epic dragon) feeling outcast, that certainly provides a reason for wanting to 'fit in' Seeing as a half elf views humans as less inteligent, I would assume this dragon would start to feel the same way about ignorant beings. Let it dip into its pure heritage and fight against all forms of prejudice, then turn back to its evil heritage and gold dragon pride and make it think itself so great it needs to rule the other races (Like a pharo?) Certianly the sort of back story you may want to look at.Possibly give it the metamagic substitution of acid(wind) and fire(fire) showing how its multi-use elements progress it as a more unique breed. Think about raising the save DC, as this isnt just a dragon, its a new unknown dragon, not to much +2 or so should cover it really. If its breath is so special, look at some of the breath abilities in the draconomicon (I think it is) animate breath could be something interesting for a breath of its nature.Hope some of this is useful</blockquote>
