Its been rumoured within ecclesiastical circles of the XON faith and within the City's political and noble circles that the presence of the Inquisitors as a special unit, serving as a nexus between the Church of Xon and the City's Guardsmen, will be a permanent feature of the City's law enforcement and this will be further reinforced with the arrival of the dreaded Wardens from the capitol. The Wardens will not only boost and reinforce the ranks of the newly created Inquisitors, but have been intended to oversee all matters pertaining to internal security, thus subordinating the City's Guardsmen below them and to bring the insolent half-orc captain of the guardsmen in line. The unit of Wardens that are presently enroute to the City will answer only to the The Elder Council and the Grand Assembly in the capitol and will be responsbile for all matters pertaining to the City's internal security as they are in the capitol city. The actual scope of their authority is known only to very few, one of whom is the City's Xonnite Bishop, the dwarf Jager Flamehammer. Killian Darkblood, an influential member of both wizard academies, has thrown in his backing and volunteered his services and the services of his posse of mage allies to the Inquisitors' task of flushing out and exterminating socerers within the city and its immediate surroundings. Killian is an elf with a major fiendish bloodline which he is proud of. He has as many influential friends as he does influential enemies, he counts Edam Faustson as a close ally.
