A few years ago, the DMs Guild was accepting submissions for POD titles and released a set of guidelines that had to be reached in order to be accepted. A number of creators were selected to have their titles available for print which felt like a trial run of the POD program as a creator who had a title brought to life in hard cover. (After going back and reading the announcement posts, this was considered an experiment by staff.) Not long after POD opened up, they announced that they were no longer taking submissions for printed products. It is possible new titles will be considered if the creator has Platinum level sales or higher. The process also required a lot of back and forth with creators to get the POD print files just right for the printers. The DM's Guild stated they had plans to possibly expand POD further in the future and they are currently not accepting new approved layout artists at this time, but they are ironing out the processes for possibly accepting new layout artists to their current approved list in the future.
