Creatures By Poll - how many Hit Dice should our monster have?

I'm going mid-range, because if I ever actually run a D&D game, I doubt it'll last long enough to need the epic level creatures....

5-7 hit dice, is ok if it goes to medium, but not for Large.

I agree with Krishnath. Be sure to put advancement up high, because scaleable PC death is one of 3e's blessings!

Hit Dice choice

I picked 2-4; I like starting small, and then including a large advancement potential. This way a single critter can be used to challenge a wider range of PCs.

I picked 2-4 because I want to use the monster in groups.
