I know he's a drow ranger who isn't evil and, yes, from the time of his creation being made a ranger is, obviously, a "good" aligned character. I know him from the Crystal Shard...might have read some of the second on. No, I haven't read the endless reams of series that include him over and over and over. He's a mega-dual-wielding magic scimitars uber-fighter with a figurine of wondrous power panther named Gwenwyfar, exiled/fled from his evil people and homeland (boohoo, he's so deep and emo...and black leather? Deep hooded cloak? Gothy too!), slayer of demons and whatnot, and on and on. I know plenty about him to form an opinion. His elaborate multi-trilogy history is really irrelevant to knowing he is abundantly overused...comics, video games, the aforementioned many many books of Forgotten Realmsian Drowsomeness... even appearing as the "elf" race sample art character for gods' sakes! So, yeah. I know plenty about him. He's every-bloody-where. I'm not "hating on him to be cool," putting aside for the time being the idea of putting an established anti-hero on an anti-hero list would be "hating on." I'm responding to your questioning my placement of him on the anti-hero list, because I dislike (immensely) the character from concept to today. Is someone not allowed to dislike something that is inherently unlikable and exhaustively overexposed? Pointing out a "bad" something is "bad" is automatically "hating on" something these days? You were questioning Gord and Wulfgar's placement in relation/as compared to Drizzt's. So, glad to have cleared up that wasn't a "complaint."
