Critical Hits and Hideous Blow

We're having a "discussion" in our campaign concerning the warlock invocation of Hideous Blow. When you score a critical hit with a weapon, do you also score critical damage with the evocation? If you can, does it have a different threatened critical range if the weapon is better than 20? i.e., a two-handed sword. Thanks.

No, because the eldritch blast triggered by the melee hit is independant and hits automatically. There is no attack roll for it, thus no chance for a critical hit.

Or rather, its extra damage dice is a way similar to sneak attack or flaming/shocking/frost weapons. Extra dice are never multiplied.
