This marks the largest number of live shows Critical Role has held in a calendar year and coincides with the Actual Play show's 10th anniversary.Critical Role hosted annual live shows at Gen Con pre-pandemic but haven't been to the tabletop convention since 2019. The new one-shot is interesting in that it uses the Daggerheart game system set to be released next year but will still be set in the world of Exandria, the setting for Critical Role's individual campaigns and many of its one-shots. The NYCC show will focus on Jester and Fjord's wedding, which hints that the two characters will survive their upcoming crossover with the main campaign.
