Crossgen's Scion....Fantasy w/technology

Lately I've been thinking that Crossgen's comic Scion would make a rather interesting universe for a 3e campaign. More or less a D&D style world with a mix of hitech bits as well.

Anyone use this kind of world for a setting?

I'm not familiar with the comic, so these suggestions may or may not fit.

Iron Kingdoms is steampunk I think. And then there's Dragonstar which is more sci fi.

It has tech like genetic engineering, hi-tech healing, energy weapons, etc. A bit more advanced than steampunk.
