I have not purchased the new D20 book yet but I did get a chance to peruse through it. Nyarlathoptep is far tougher than Cthulhu? Cthulhu no longer gathers up 1d3 hapless investigators in a scabrous claw and devours them with no chance to miss? What the heck? Are these stats based on the plush Cthulhu? if so what size? Will the Cthulhu minis game feature all plush Mythos Monsters? I think the original rules are far better but atleast i can have my Hackers go against the grandaddy of all octopi.

And that's not the worst part of it. One Power Critical with a vorpal sickle, or a harm spell followed by a swipe from a sword, and he's toast, just like all the rest.

Cthulhu got the shaft, man.

I also like the Chaosium version much more. However, the Big C retains his charisma in all his versions. Those fishy eyes, that long, tentacled beard, oh God! look at those muscles! Mmmmm....

The big C doesn't have stats in CoC. His stats are only included if you want to use him in a regular D&D game. In a CoC game, he basically just eats whoever the DM wants.
