Cthulhu Future

Chainsaw Mage

First Post
Take one (1) D20 Call of Cthulhu game (still one of the best d20 games ever made, IMHO). Use Sanity system, Psychic feats and Cthulhu Mythos.

Add one (1) D20 Modern. Use classes and action points.

Add one (1) D20 Future (drooool).

Set action on massive space ship, whose crazed engineer just so happens to be a worshipper of [insert Mythos god of your choice here]. Engineer opens the gate between worlds...

See where I'm going with this?

Holy crap, am I PUMPED. AUGUST, COME SOON! :]

Excellent idea!
I am pleased to see that others like it too, since it was an idea i was toying with before I got Grim Tales (and decide for a Sword & Sorcery setting).

I've been batting a similar idea around for a campaign that I am hoping to start up in August. I've had some pretty good ideas for an introductory adventure, but what I'm having trouble with is wrapping my head around the idea as a sustainable campaign. My thoughts have ranged from using an Event Horizon style 'piercing the veil between stars awakes some evil' to deranged cult on Earth finds some evil on Earth and takes it to a colony world, a world less sophisticated where that evil can be cultivated. I guess I'm going for more of a monsters & demons in space setting than a straight Cthulhu style. My players are more action oriented than investigative. I guess the crux of my problem is I can think up lots of one-shot adventures, but I'm looking for more of a sustainable campaign. What kind of ideas have you guys had? Completely based on Earth, but in the future? Or a star-faring campaign? To be honest I'd prefer a more star-faring campaign, but that's what I'm having trouble with. Especially with an Event Horizon style game. Argh. I'm rambling. Does anyone here have any more specific ideas for a future-horror campaign?

I'd play in this game in a heart beat. I'd probably invent some 40k style imperium details for background info as well, and make it a massive prison ship, but that's just me.
