And by current, I mean anime that's been in shown in the last 3 years. But if it's older anime you've taken a liking to, you can mention it too.Anyways, allow me to start off with a recent show I just can't get enough of:The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - Good lord. I honestly couldn't stop laughing at the first episode of this. It is without a doubt the most whacked out anime I've seen since Excel Saga and Yakitate! Japan. To try and explain what this show is about would be doing it an injustice (not to mention revealing a great deal of Spoilers <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f61b.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":p" title="Stick out tongue    :p"  data-smilie="7"data-shortname=":p" /> ). But if you all insist on a description, let me say that it's a slice of life/comedy anime much in the vein of Azumanga Daioh, but taken to the nth degree.  <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f600.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":D" title="Big grin    :D"  data-smilie="8"data-shortname=":D" />  All of you must watch this, trust me.
