[QUOTE="syberfreak, post: 5603841, member: 6671038"] I've been trying to compile a list of 99 Cursed Items that mostly only cause problems for the characters and make the DMs laugh their heads off. I figured only a few should be potentially lethal and all of them should give the character a chance of survival. Sadly, I'm finding very few books with interesting Cursed Items and my Imagination draws many blanks (not from lack of ideas. more around lack of ideas that don't horribly and mercilessly kills the characters). So, I just have to wonder, for those of you that use cursed items, know any specific items you've created/borrowed from a friend that have been particularly useful to this end? For the sake of avoiding repitition, I'll include a list of the items I already have written down (from various other books/people): 1.) Armor of Arrow Attraction (DMG pg. 274) 2.) Bag of Devouring (DMG pg. 274) 3.) Bracers of Defenselessness (DMG pg. 274) 4.) Dust of Sneezing and Choking (DMG pg. 275) 5.) Helm of Opposite Alignment (DMG pg. 275) 6.) Robe of Powerlessness (DMG pg. 276) 7.) Stone of Weight/Loadstone (DMG pg. 276) 8.) Amulet of Sickliness (Armor and Equipment Guide pg. 146) 9.) Necklace of the Vampire (Armor and Equipment Guide pg. 147) 10.) Girdle of Femininity/Masculinity (You all know what this does) 11.) Comfy Chair (An ugly chair that makes it so you only need 1 hour of rest each day but causes you to not want to get up from it without a Will save) 12.) Hat of Obsession (a hat that make you obsessed with it and can bring you to a murderous insanity) 13.) Matyr's Ring (a ring that acts as a Ring of Protection +5 but also directs all attacks on allies within 10 feet directly to the wielder) 14.) Ring of Decay (A ring that appears to give +2 CON bust actually decreases the character's health by 1hp/lv each day and rises them as a zombi when they die) 15.) Cursed Rubber Chicken (an ordinary rubber chicken that when thrown away, just comes back to the person who picked it up, usually at inopportune times) 16.) Ring of Persistent Protection (A ring with the soul of a centuries old paladin inside it that does everything it can to protect the wielder. this may seem good as first clanse but I haven't told you just what powers he uses to "protect" them) 17.) Necklace of Twisted Tongues (Gives the character the ability to use "Comprehend Language" or "Tongues" at will but also makes it so they can only speak in riddles, rhymes, or some other poetic manner) 18.) Fionna's Fabulous Meat Pie (a pie that gives +1 on saving throws for an encounter and causes major addiction to it that will eventually lead to obesity) 19.) Zethros, The Soul Harvester (A +3 Enervating Ghost Touch Greatsword that steals the soul of every creature it slays and after it collects 100 souls, it tries to steal the soul of the wielder) 20.) R'hool tae K'choota or Cudgle of the Revenant (A +2 Greatclub that raises every creature it slays as a zombie that attacks the wielder until either one of them dies [in its case, again]) 21.) Gauntlets of Crushing (Gauntlets that, once worn, attempt to break any magic item that gets in their grasp) 22.) Rubber Longsword (A +1 Longsword that turns to rubber when an attack is made, bending along with the attack, thus doing no damage) 24.) A pair of +1 Dueling Punching Daggers (A pair of +1 punching Daggers that act normally when wielded by one person but if they're wielded by two different people, they force those two to fight till one or both of them is either unconscious or dead) 25.)
