D&D 5E Cursed(?) Ring of... Watery Air?

My son was playing some sort of WoW hack and one of the guards in Orgrimmar was constantly swimming everywhere. We were laughing about it and I suggested that maybe he had a magic ring that let him swim through the air.

And then I thought -- hmm.

I'm not sure if 5E has ring of flying, rings of swimming, or the airy water spell.

But consider a crafter who was trying to make a ring with one or more of those properties, and goofed.

The wearer of the ring experiences air as if it were (breatheable) water. He can move through air as if he were swimming, and suffers the usual underwater penalties for attacks. His hair moves about in the air as if it were water, and he FEELS like he is underwater (although he can breathe normally, and does not gain resistance to fire).

Should this be an attuned item?

Would players use it (I think they would)?

Sure. A strong swimmer could use it to float over pits, climb without ladders, maybe even use it like a modified Feather Fall. It would be a bunch of neat tricks, at least until you wear it into an ambush...

I don't see airy water, but it may appear in next season's player's guide.
Ring of swimming: yes. DMG 183
Ring of flying: no, but a ring of air elemental control grants a flying speed and hovering. So also does a set of wings of flying.

My first thought on reading the thread title was a cursed Ring of Consumption, giving the wearer Tuberculosis.

Requires Remove Curse to remove the ring, then Cure Disease to cure the Tuberculosis, and finally a Heal spell or greater to repair the damage.

Ring of Fluid Inversion
This ring seemingly causes all air to become water, and vice versa. This inversion is only true for the wearer, who can now "swim" in air, and will "fall" through water. Note that an air-breathing creature cannot breathe except in water while under this effect, and vice versa. Useful for land creatures exploring the seafloor, and sea creatures exploring the land/sky.
