I agree that Shadowrun muscled it out but I still preferred CP2020 to SR based on its grittiness. No magical healing or astral sensing in CP2020. SR seemed to still have the usual "party" mentality of D&D whereas in my personal experience CP2020 games were "every man for himself" with the characters teaming up only if there was an advantage. I'll never forget my first game of SR... I was playing a Street Samurai and had been shot up into unconsiousness. The mage decided to assist my healing with some magic but then helped himself to some of my credits to pay for the services rendered. I demanded them back, I was healing just fine in the hospital. Besides, he didn't ask if he could have the credits so I saw it as stealing. Of course he agreed because I had my manhunter pistol to his forehead but then the idot starts jabbering about how he'll put the word out about how he'd been treated and that I'd never get another mage to ever work for me again. I told him that he was right... and that I couldn't risk the word getting out so I shot him point blank in the forehead. Both the GM and the other player had to pick their jaws up off the floor. I thought I was playing the game the way it was supposed to be played... CP2020 style. That was when I was informed that it is more party based. :) By the way, you should be able to buy the books here: http://tundra-sales-org.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=TTP&Category_Code=CP2
